Our Story
Eastern Hearing is an independent audiology clinic in East Auckland, specialising in bilingual hearing care for the local community. As one of the few Chinese-speaking audiology practices in Auckland, we provide hearing tests, earwax removal, tinnitus assessments, and hearing aid fitting in both English and Mandarin - with support for Hokkien and Cantonese.
We are a locally owned, community-focused clinic built on empathy, integrity, and genuine human connection. Founded in East Auckland, our mission has always been simple: to make professional hearing care accessible and culturally comfortable for multilingual communities across Auckland.

Meet the Audiologist
Hi, I’m Kevin Liu, the founder and audiologist at Eastern Hearing.
I am fluent in English, Mandarin, and Hokkien, and I can understand Cantonese. My goal is to make hearing care accessible, culturally comfortable, and genuinely welcoming for Chinese families and multilingual communities across Auckland.
With more than 15 years of experience in audiology, I have supported thousands of people on their hearing journey - helping them reconnect with loved ones, regain confidence, and enjoy greater independence. I have worked extensively in both hospital and private clinic environments, giving me a strong foundation in caring for children, adults, and seniors. Every individual teaches me something new, and every ear has a story worth listening to.
What makes my approach different is the time, patience, and attention I dedicate to each person. As an independent clinician, I am free from sales pressure and rigid appointment limits. That means you will never feel rushed or passed between clinicians. At Eastern Hearing, you will always see me — ensuring continuity, trust, and personalised care at every visit.
