Terms and Conditions Effective Date: From the 1 July 2025.

Welcome to Eastern Hearing. By using our services or booking an appointment through our website, in person, or via phone, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

 

1. Services Provided- Eastern Hearing offers the following services:

Hearing assessments, Hearing aid fittings and adjustments, Earwax removal, Hearing device maintenance and advice.

Hearing aid sales and accessories. Mobile and on-site clinic services in East Auckland GP practices. We aim to provide high-quality care tailored to your needs in accordance with professional audiology standards and New Zealand healthcare regulations.

 

2. Booking Appointments. Appointments can be made: Online via our booking platform or By calling us directly In person or via email/text, We will do our best to accommodate your preferred times and locations. Bookings are subject to availability.

 

3. Payment Terms- Payment is required in person at the end of each session, unless agreed otherwise. We accept EFTPOS, credit/debit cards, and cash. Prices are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. Government subsidies (e.g., from Enable, ACC) may apply where eligible and approved. You remain responsible for any balance not covered by third-party funders.

 

4. Cancellations and No-Shows- We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible

 

5. Refunds and Returns- Hearing aids and accessories may be eligible for a refund within a 60-day trial period, provided the devices are in good condition and returned with all packaging and documentation. Custom ear molds and consumables are non-refundable. Refunds will be processed after inspection and in accordance with supplier policies.

 

6. Clinical Records and Privacy- All personal and medical information you share is confidential and managed in line with the Privacy Act 2020. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on how your data is collected, stored, and used.

 

7. Warranty and Repairs; Devices purchased through Eastern Hearing come with a manufacturer warranty, typically 3 years. Faulty products will be repaired or replaced according to the supplier's warranty terms. Out-of-warranty repairs may incur a fee. We will always provide a quote before proceeding.

 

8. Health and Safety. If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of contagious illness (e.g., cold, flu), please reschedule your appointment. We reserve the right to decline service if we believe there is a health risk to staff or other clients.

 

9. Limitation of Liability Eastern Hearing takes all reasonable care in providing services and advice. However, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from: Misuse of hearing device. Failure to follow professional or usage instructions. Delays due to third-party suppliers or funders. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the services or products directly provided by us.

 

10. Changes to Terms - We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website. By continuing to use our services after updates are published, you accept the revised terms.
